From the 10th to the 12th February 2017 City Hall’s grand spaces and corridors will reverberate with world class electronic music from all over the country and around the world. CTEMF 2017 will celebrate the global heritage and localised brilliance of electronic music.
Since the end of October 2016 CTEMF has announced 55 acts who will grace our stages during the sixth edition of the festival – and more will be revealed in the coming weeks! As always, the festival flaunts the full gamut of electronic music: hip hop, house, techno, electronica, multiple strains of bass music and everything in between.
In the attached press release you’ll find information about the headliners including Âme (Live), Ninjatune founders Coldcut, Stones Throw architect Peanut Butter Wolf, Heidi, Dave Clarke and Ryan Hemsworth, YoungstaCPT,Jazzuelle, Jullian Gomes, Kid Fonque, Leighton Moody and topped by Portable, AKA Bodycode. Highlights from the Phase Two announcement included Berlin’s Till von Sein and Mobilee posterboy, Re.you.
Importantly Cape Town’s ever-expanding electronic music scene is thoroughly represented via myriad of top tier bookings including long-serving stalwarts and the city’s best emerging talent. A long list of Cape-based artists will get the chance to make their debut on the CTEMF stage in 2017.
