#OOTD Goes To The Gigabytes
This couple is slowly becoming one of Mzansi’s best dressed couple in the political arena and industry social circles. Not so long ago, we featured the dotting Mr. and Mrs. Melusi Gigaba in this Tuesday feature and they’ve once again caught our attention with their super chic traditional print outfits.
The outfit of the day honor, this time, comes from this Kente print, his-and-hers attire worn by the stylish pair at the weekend’s Mkhaya Migrant Awards, which were hosted by the Department of Home Affairs under the leadership and guidance of Minister Gigaba. The Kente cloth is one of the best fabrics in Africa and originates from Ghana.
As one of the most recognisable African cloths around, the Kente is a fabric of bright colours, dazzling designs and bold, geometric patterns. Although now contemporary, the Kente was once a sacred fabric only worn by kings. Till today, it’s still held in high esteem and has a distinct and effortless way of transforming its wearer to look like instant royalty – as is the case with the Gigabas’.
This Kente tux and A-line dress and doek set from the Gigabas’ makes for a dream outfit that’s fit to be crowned #OOTD. What do you think?
