AKA’s sophomore album Levels is arguably one of the best hip hop album released last year. With smash hits like ‘Kontrol’, ‘Congratulate’, ‘Run Jozi’ and the Summer favourite ‘All Eyes On Me’, the album has set new standards for local hip hop. The results of the 5FM “Top 100 2014′ has been revealed and AKA is on his usual domination steez, with all of the songs released last year making in on the charts.
Congratulate, which is AKA’s most crossover song to date, came in at #29 on the charts, with Run Jozi taking the #16 spot. The Summer and festive banger All Eyes On Me sits in at #5, making it not only the biggest local song on the charts but also the biggest hip hop song on the Top 100 charts. The All Eyes On Me music video is topping the charts on various music TV channels. The video has been #1 on Channel O for the past 5 weeks and this past week #1 on the Trace Urban Hits chart. The video has been doing well online too, hitting the #1 spot for local music videos on iTunes.
