Energy is produced by Makwa Beats and is a telling of steeping away from the bustle to recharge your energy. And the timing of this drop is quite fitting seeing that Supa Mega has recovered from Covid 19.

What stands out about Energy is the Nick Holder Summer Daze sample, which is dear to many South Africans. However, beyond this, the production is minimal and spacious. Giving way for AKA to pour his heart out about his struggles with keeping up appearances and being consistent with his brand as a public figure.

Shot by Studio Space Pictures, the visuals take us from the hustle and bustle of Supa Mega’s busy life into the serene gold sand fields. The gents drive out in a 5 car convoy to the middle of nowhere as they recharge and reconnect with themselves. The simplicity of the visuals complimenting the song.

It looks like AKA’s roll out for his visuals releases will be concluded next week as we look forward to the music video for Monuments alongside Yanga Chief and Grandmaster Ready D. We look forward to it.
