Cape Town based singer and producer, Digital Sangoma describes the beauty of going home on the upbeat new single, Indudumo Zehlobo

Cape Town based singer and producer Digital Sangoma releases his latest single titled Indudumo Zehlobo; meaning summertime thunder and storms. The song is about the beautiful journey which one takes when traveling home. Digital Sangoma tells a poignant story of a vibrant season and all the wonder to behold about it. 

Digital Sangoma, real name, Mandisi Mafu, is a Cape Town based Afro Electro music producer, recording artist and performer. His sound bridges the divide between the traditional and contemporary, described as African Dance Music. It features elements of West African melodies set over evocative drums mingled with organic, African sounds and instruments.

Indudumo Zehlobo is a refreshing listen. Coming in at just under 5 minutes, the single sees Digital Sangoma incorporate elements of chanting, soulful vocals and traditional isiXhosa rhythms. The song is a fusion of traditional chants with an undertone of electronic synths, guitars accompanied by soulful vocals.

“It’s about the encounters we each experience,” Digital Sangoma explains. “The calmness and joy that comes from seeing the landscapes of the countryside while traveling by bus, the spontaneous pit stops along the way, meeting strangers, and making new friends.”
