Chief Executive Officer of the LOC, Mvuzo Mbebe has officially announced the list of the artists that will be entertaining soccer fans at the AFCON opening ceremony, speaking to the media at a press conference Mbebe made it clear that only African artists will be given a platform to entertain the crowd. Ringo Madlingozi, Sibongile Khumalo, Siphokazi Mohapi, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, Ayanda Nhlangothi, Eric Wainana, Judith Sephuma, Lira, Afurukan, Ringo Madlingozi and Oumou Sangare are all the major artists that will be performing at the much anticipated and controversial AFCON 2013 opening ceremony. The Opening Ceremony, starting at 16h00 on January 19th, precedes the kick-off match at the National Stadium and according to the event production company VWV this event promises to be a dazzling spectacular of African pride.
