Vuzu partnered with Channel O and managed to put together one of the supreme young at heart occurrences this year thus far, the affair which was hosted at Chaf Pozi: a restaurant situated at the base of the old FNB cooling towers. This attention-grabbing site is located just a few blocks away from the momentous Hector Peterson square and the experience was organised in order to commemorate the 1976 youth uprising. The people of Soweto came in thousands to support this chilly social gathering. The June 16 youth day celebration event was of course attended by the dopest artist’s and DJ’s as well as a lot of local celebrities were also spotted at the pleasantly cold Orlando power park towers which have now turned into a townships bungee jumping tourist destination. Toya deLaZy aka Latoya blessed the crowd with her set which was a mix of pop, jazz and classical tunes, The motif records new artist Reason who launched his album last week Friday also gave a dope performance, teargas and cash time fam rocked the stage as always but I have to admit, Kabelo aka bouga-luv and pro-kid rocked the crowd the harderst! DJ Kenzhero, Dimplez, JR and many more also made appearances.
