Sneaker culture and basketball have always gone hand in hand with players always rocking the latest and coolest kicks around. Whether it be high performance sneakers for the game or a laid back lifestyle shoe for casual walks around town, sneakers are the go to kicks for many athletes including LeBron James who was recently spotted rocking yet another pair of Karabo Poppy kicks in collaboration with Nike.
James styled the black and white Air Force 1’s with a casual pair of black basketball shorts and a black graphic hoodie. However, this is not the first time the legendary basketball player has been spotted wearing Karabo Poppy designs. Earlier this year in February, James posted an Instagram story wearing a colourful pair of yet another one Karabo Poppy’s sneakers of which have grown to be popular for selling out on the same day of release.
So although the black and white zig-zag kicks are no longer available right now, you can still get a feel for Poppy’s fresh designs through a recent collaboration she did with local fashion design sensation, Rich Mnisi. The capsule collection titled, ‘Running Errands’ is a “combination of different artistic styles intersecting multiple identities”, as shared by Poppy who announced the launch of the collaboration on her Instagram around July.
