Are you up for having your every move watched by millions, 24 hours a day, seven days week? Then make sure not to miss the upcoming auditions for Big Brother Mzansi this October! The auditions take place: in Durban at the BAT Centre on Saturday, 12 October and Sunday, 13 October; Johannesburg at The Pyramid Conference and Venue Centre on Saturday, 19 October and Sunday, 20 October; Cape Town at The River Club on Saturday, 26 October and Sunday, 27 October.
Mzansi Magic is on a mission to find the perfect mix of personalities to live together in the Big Brother Mzansi house. Contestants must be prepared to be part of a unique social experiment, where the action unfolds over real time, and all the drama, friendships, betrayal, and even love is on constant public display for viewers.
Big Brother Mzansi makes its debut in February 2014 on Mzansi Magic DStv channel 161. It follows on Big Brother Africa The Chase, the latest in several continent-wide editions of the house-bound reality show that have struck gold with viewers across the continent.
Big Brother Mzansi will take place nearly 13 years after the first-ever Big Brother on African soil grabbed the attention of South Africans in 2001. The 24-hour camera surveillance of a group of strangers living in a house, starring in a real-life soap opera, hasn’t altered since then – and has proved to be enduringly popular with viewers.
Although details of the location, host, theme and prize are yet to be revealed, one thing is for sure: only individuals with a taste for adventure of a different kind, as well as the capacity to try and live normally while being watched by viewers around the country need apply!
Wannabe Big Brother Mzansi participants must be over the age of 21 and bring a valid South African ID or work permit/visa to the auditions.
