Coming to Durban for the first time, lovers and friends turned out for the Festive Season edition of music and food event The Soirée by Stella Artois, at Sugar Rush Park, Ballito, on Saturday, with eventgoers dressed for the summer mood of togetherness.
The Soirée has become an exciting addition to the South African event calendar and the event, was a perfect day for people to connect with loved ones while creating meaningful memories in The Life Artois.
The crowd danced to an eclectic, all-star music line-up with a distinctive Afro-soul leaning with the bill including multi-platinum selling artist, Russell Zuma, Afropop duo, Blaq Diamond, Nomfundo Moh and Skye Wanda, amongst others.
With its tropical trees and expansive country lawns, set on the Dolphin Coast, Sugar Rush Park was an exceptional setting for the other lifestyle elements of The Soirée ‘Festive Edition’, which included an extraordinary, live pop culture installation by Umlazi-born, Durban artist Kev Seven (aka Kevin Ngwenya), live chalice engraving and a limited-edition Stella Artois pop up merchandise store.
With artisanal food integral to The Soirée experience, hand-crafted culinary offerings included local gourmet food stalls such as Curbside Kitchen, Cluck & Moo, Salt Rock Gelato and Food Fundi along with Frites Artois (Belgian fries).
“The Soirée Festive Edition was the perfect setting to bring people together for all the right reasons. It’s the time of year when we take time to be present for ourselves and each other. The Soirée is an event where South Africans can connect and share the enjoyment of great music and food as well as, at this time of the year, celebrate family and friendship,” said Estee Burger, Marketing Manager, Stella Artois.
The Soirée by Stella Artois will continue spreading the love and good vibes around the country, with cities and dates to be announced in due course.
