Bonang Matheba Covers GQ magazine “Power Issue”.

Bonang Matheba adds another coveted media accolade to her resume next month with a cover and feature article in GQ’s “Power Issue”.

The September issue of GQ will feature the artists, personalities and iconic figures of South African popular culture who are at the top of their game and celebrating all the success that comes with it.

First among this illustrious group is cover star Bonang, who will be the magazine’s sole iconography when it hits newsstands – no headlines, just Bonang: the ultimate power move.

This will be the first solo female cover from GQ SA in more than 8 years, with its minimalist approach on cover text and the single cover line “The Power Issue”.

The September issue will be released and will be on shelves on Monday 27 August.

It’s always an honour to be recognised for your work, especially in such a defining way. I’ve been blessed this year to achieve so many of my goals and to have that validated by one of the most powerful publications in media means the world to me. More than just a cover, this is an opportunity to inspire

says cover star, Bonang Matheba.

2018 has been a series of successes for Bonang. Along with the launch of her first T-shirt line, her announcement as a host for the Nelson Mandela Centenary Dinner in London and the Global Citizen Festival coming up in December.
