Bonginkosi Hlongwane also known as BOKKIEULT. Born and breed in the Vaal and later relocated to Johannesburg 2015 to pursue his dreams of being a DJ. BookieULT is a Red Bull campus clash champion since 2013, Gauteng sport, arts, culture and recreation bringing the heat champion since 2013, Bookie has done workshops where he trained about 300 aspiring DJ’s and Producers.
Bonginkosi has been making music for a while now, he already knows his sound. He defines his sound as Afro tech fusion of melodies, My music is inspired by Soul, Afro tech, electronic and deep house, Said Bokkie. Bokkie was not alone on this master piece “Akekho” he featured an artis called Toshi, when asked how was it working with Toshi, he said: Working with Toshi was amazing and easy because she’s a legend and she knows exactly what to do while she leaves room too to try new things. So I really enjoyed it.
BokkieULT has been in the industry for a while now, he has worked with some great artists in the music industry, he has worked with the likes of Cuebur, Dj Maphorisa, Dj Clock, Thandi Draai, Mahotella Queens and Karyendasoul to name a few
Speaking about the creative direction of the music video, director Musa Nkondo share:” Working with Bokkie and Toshi was ana amazing experience, they made my job so easy and efficiently by being on time and cooperative. They created a friendly yet professional working environment for me as a director. Bokkie has an international sound and I would definitely love to work with him again. I have worked with Toshi before it was like meeting an old friend, I always enjoy working with her. Ive worked with so many artists, and Bokkie is one of the top 5 on the list of my favourite artists that I’ve worked with so far.
