The Legacy of Hope Foundation is a union of nonprofits banding together to help realize Nelson Mandela’s dream for Nelson Mandela’s world-class children’s hospital in South Africa. Tonight, the organization and its esteemed honorary committee will host North America’s only official celebration in NYC honoring Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday. The private event will kick off a global campaign to realize his dream of bringing free and accessible healthcare to South Africa’s children through the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital (expected to break ground in 2015).
As the organization’s Youth Ambassador, Botlhale Boikanyo will be preparing a special opening performance to attendees and introducing a global day of action and crowd-fundraising campaign on actor, Edward Norton’s CrowdRise.
