Cape Town’s dynamic brother-duo, Keenan x Keanu, have just dropped their latest single, ‘The Way’, featuring Kinetic Torch. This release marks another key milestone in their musical evolution. Inspired by their youthful experiences and the emotions sparked during nights out, ‘The Way’ brings an authentic, relatable vibe that resonates with listeners.
“Certain things are better expressed through a song,” says Keanu. “The inspiration for ‘The Way’ came from being young and outgoing, and we wanted to capture that energy and emotion.”
Though still relatively new on the scene, the brothers have already caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. ‘The Way’ does a great job of keeping us hooked and excited for what’s to come next. Keenan and Keanu also credit Kinetic Torch for adding the final touch that made the track truly come together. “We had the song done, but something felt missing,” Keenan shares. “Kinetic Torch made the beat and brought his Kasi flavor to the track. His verse tied everything together perfectly.”
Keenan x Keanu continue to carve out their own unique identity in the music world, blurring the lines between genres and pushing creative boundaries. “We’re not confined to a specific genre; we make music based on how it feels,” says Keanu. “This track is part of our journey in blending sounds to create something truly original.”
Looking ahead, the duo is primed for a breakout 2025. “It’s going to be the year people really get to know Keenan x Keanu,” Keanu promises. “We’ve got projects, EPs, collaborations, and hopefully an album in the pipeline. The last six months have been a learning experience, and there’s so much more to come.”
