CAN do is looking for South AfriCANs who CAN sing, dance, and entertain – with CANS and is giving away great prizes to these lucky CAN doers, Nampak Bevcan, is running competitions via social networking sites. To WIN great prizes – go on, grab your CAN, and be inspired. Entrants stand a chance of winning, R100 000 in cash or a production and broadcasting of their own music video, Blackberry phones and a whole lot more. To stand a chance of winning one of the great prizes, participants must visit one of the CAN Be Scene outlets and visit them on Facebook.

CAN-B-Scene outlets stock their beverages in cans and the outlets that do so gets the opportunity to advertise in the Sowetan newspaper, on radio and online, for free. This is an amazing growth opportunity for these businesses, as this is the first time they have been able to advertise on this grand scale. Not only do cans bring advertising they also get cold faster, they are safer, unbreakable and 100% recyclable – characteristics most outlets in the townships are finding very attractive. Outlet owner, Thandi from De K’s Place in Katlehong said, “Since I’ve started getting advertising on the CAN do Gig-Guide, the number of people attending our gigs has increased. The Bevcan Gig-Guide also helps my outlet to reach people outside of Katlehong, an achievement I have always wished for.” The best entries into the CAN-B-Famous competition will have the opportunity to perform at the annual Soweto Beer Festival, to be held from the 28 – 31 October, at SHAP Stadium. The four day event celebrates the vibrancy ofSoweto– with local and international beer brands, entertainment, local cuisine, fashion and colourful arts and crafts. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better.
