Born September 26th in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sipho Vuyisa Nhlapo was raised in Umtata, Eastern Cape and relocated back to Johannesburg after the death of his father and joined the Hip-Hop and RnB group “The Pyramid” in 2006 and hit no.1 on the Metro FM National Hip-hop charts with the song “Never Be The Same” and released the music video “Sweet 16”. CASH formed a group “The Monopoly” and released the controversial “Nigga Please” single. CASH then founded Crackboys Entertainment and created the hip-hop group “Crackboys” who released three successful DVD’s and mixtapes. With Crackboys, CASH was nominated for a Channel O video award for their collaboration with Buffalo Souljah for the continental hit “IzandlaPhezulu” in 2010. In 2011 he won a Sound City Award for “IzandlaPhezulu”.
From the early age of 7, rapper, songwriter and producer CASH was introduced to music by his father, who played the trumpet, recorder and piano. At the age of 14 CASH started writing music in the form of raps. He formed a high school rap group and never looked back. In 2005 CASH relocated to Johannesburg after the death of his father and studied Sound Engineering. There he met Lynx and Igho, who formed the music group “The Pyramid”. Courage Ambition Strength Hustle is the meaning behind the name/acronym CASH. After the success of “Crackboys” CASH decided to go for a solo career. In 2010 CASH featured on the national hit “Speaking In Tongues” by TXL, helping them claim a nomination for a SAMA Award.
Suffering personal setbacks and losing his mother in 2011, CASH is now back on the path to success featuring in the “Music Of Africa Mixtape” with his song “Tupac Back”, the “ZimfestMixtape” with the song “Fast Life” by Zimbabwean rapper Mariachi and the “Shutdown Mixtape” with the song “Fresh New Jays” in 2012. With the release of his 2012 Mixtape titled “Real N.I.G.G.A’s Only” and the Mixtape “Crack Back” with the “Crackboys”, CASH is back, more business minded and motivated. CASH renamed his “Crackboys Entertainment” label CLMG (Crack Life Music Group) and created the lifestyle brand S.O.G which stands for Shirt Off Gang, which promotes exercise, healthy living and looking good.
