Cassper Nyovest just debuted the South African version of the official FIFA World Cup™ anthem “Colours”. The track he features on with global hit maker, Jason Derulo, will be released worldwide, in celebration of the world’s biggest football tournament, on March 16th.

To extend the collaborations across the world, Coca-Cola invited local artists from the African continent including South Africa, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Ethiopia to collaborate with Jason Derulo to create uniquely African anthems for each of their countries. In South Africa, multi-award-winning artist, Refiloe Phoolo, better known as Cassper Nyovest, was selected to represent the country on a global stage. The anthem celebrates all the vibrancy and excitement that comes with the arrival of the world’s biggest football tournament.

After landing back from recording with Derulo in Los Angeles in February, Cassper said “Working with Jason Derulo was mad cool because he’s a pop artist and I’m a rap artist and it’s two different worlds coming together”. Cassper has added his unique South African flavor to the catchy track. “In South Africa, we’ve got so many different backgrounds, and so we put all our colours and everything we could have thought of into it and it turned out great; shout out to Coca – Cola for bringing this together”, said the star famous for filling up stadiums.

The localised anthem “Colours” will be released on March 16th.
