Legendary South African rapper Boitumelo “Tumi” Molekane (Tumi from Tumi & The Volume) who now goes by the name Stogie T, just took a shot at Cassper Nyovest. Speaking to a hip hop podcast called The Sobering which is hosted by Fratpack’s Kitso and KB, Stogie said Cassper didn’t deserve to win the album of the year at the 2017 South African Hip Hop Awards.

Cassper did not deserve album of the year, coz his album is not the best album of the year, my opinion…I think it’s his best album ever…but you know it’s not the best album of the year

Says Tumi.

Nyovest won the prestige title based on these categories for his album Thuto: originality, popularity, quality, visibility, sales, impact, melody and composition.

Stogie T has a career that spanned over a decade, his impact as a rapper, poet, social commentator and record label owner have garnered him the respect of his peers, both locally and abroad.
