Celeb Weekend News Recap!
Published 3 years ago by

It has been a while since we have brought you the weekend news recap and we have to admit that we have missed it. Without getting caught up in the sentiments of it all, here are some of the news that caught our attention this past weekend.

It’s sad when love is said to be on the rocks, especially if the couple is well suited and just look so damn good together. Sunday Sun reports that the spark between quirky actress, Ntando Duma and her rapper boyfriend, Junior De Rocka has fizzled out and things have now gone south. According to sources, “De Rocka might have been blinded by all the media attention he was getting from being romantically linked to Ntando and couldn’t handle being in the spotlight.”

It is said that the rapper has been keeping a low profile and has not been posting about Duma. This is baffling because from where we are sitting, the relationship looks fine. Duma even went on Instagram a week ago and posted a picture of De Rocka, captioned: “Father of my kids”.

We certainly hope that nothing is wrong here, we really love them!

On happy couple news, it is reported that A-Reece and Natasha Thahane are an item. What is it with actresses hooking up with rappers?

According to Sunday Sun, the two were seen loved up at the Metro FM Music Awards and declaring their undying affection for each other to anybody who would listen but back tracked when asked about their relationship and said that they’re friends. A lot of us called this hook up back when A-Reece dropped the videos in which Natasha starred in.

We have to admit, they make such a cute couple, don’t you think?

In other news, Babes Wodumo is said to have taken her loss at the Metro FM Awards very badly after she lost out on four awards. It is reported by Daily Sun that the singer/dancer took the loss really badly and was seen by several people “sobbing uncontrollably” when the winner of Song Of The Year was announced.

According to a source Babes feels like she was robbed at these awards as her song was the party anthem and even play listed on Metro FM. She was also robbed of the SABC Song Of The Year last year, which she lost to Mroza Fakude. This does sound a bit suspect and maybe we should start investigating the “bought awards” rumours, I mean Wololo was such a hit!

He may have won the SABC Summer Song Of The Year but Mroza Fakude is far from happy with his bosses over at Mabala Noise. The Maskandi singer has sent a scathing attack to Reggie Nkabinde and has accused him of robbing him of the R150 000 prize money and R129 000-worth Kia Picanto he won at the competition last year, according to Sunday Sun.

The fight escalated to such a point that the singer has dropped Mabala Noise and is looking for a new home. Damn, okay! There is definitely something bigger and deeper at play here. We will be watching closely.

Finally, Queen Skolopad is making a mark in the scene and we are not sure people will forget about her so soon. The artist was spotted at Ballerz nightclub in Melville, Johannesburg by Sunday World and this is what she was wearing. We have no words!
