With the local municipal elections just around the corner, we are witnessing political party advertisements and campaigns everywhere. If it’s not campaign posters hung on street lights, then it’s radio and TV ads galore. With that said,¬†it is not uncommon for celebrities to endorse a certain political party, I mean, they are human too and entitled to their own opinions on which party to vote for.
It is understandable why political parties are recruiting celebrities and inviting them to rallies so as to help with their campaigns. The obvious reason is that they are able to influence a lot of people because of the massive reach they have on social media. In turn, it is also a way for the celebrities to show how loyal they are to their country.
Whether or not endorsing a political party is bad for the image and career of the celebrity, we don‚Äôt know. What we do know is that, these are the few celebs we’ve spotted supporting the ANC and rallying behind the party for the upcoming municipal elections.
