South Africa woke up to the tragic news of the passing of one of its own this morning, Mandla Hlatshawyo. The Jozi FM presenter, former actor and DJ was the victim of a senseless killing in Pimville last night. According to reports, Mandla and his friend, now identified as Oupa “Chom Chom” Duma, were gunned down outside Meli Lounge after allegedly trying to help two women in an alleged mugging by thugs.
The death of the former Generations actor, who played the longstanding role of Siphiwe Phosa on the SABC1 soapie, has taken Mzansi by shock with celebrities and personalities taking to social media to pour their tributes to the 40-year-old.
