The clear silhouette on shoes has been having its day for a minute on the fashion scene. The trend started with the acrylic heel, migrated to PVC strap heels and clear flats, then later saw the clear ankle bootie become popular.
The ankle booties received so much love that every fashionista and shoeaholic was spotting one! This year, the newest trend on the clear shoe wave is the stiletto pumps, which we must say is kinda impressive.
Because of its transparent nature, the shoe is hella versatile and fits in perfectly with every outfit; and allows you to slay it any which way. Although we’re feeling it, we do have a concern or two.
Firstly, you would have to ensure that your pedicure is on serious steroids whenever you wear these babies. It would, otherwise, be an uncomfortable experience walking around with undone toes in these shoes.
Also, Mzansi summers are known for their blazing nature! How comfy will these shoes be in blistering heat that will soon cause incessant sweating? Perspiring feet in potentially slippery shoes is not safe and definitely doesn’t make for a good look.
None the less, we love this shoe for its sexiness and elegant appeal. What do you think? Would you rock these clear stiletto pumps or nah?

Don Design A Teases New Collection Drop
Check out the new drip by MondayIIMonday
Don Design teases the first part of his new collection. NoMoozlie was spotted in the Big Apple rocking these new threads from Don. The latest collection features a reinterpretation of the Celine brand, overlaid on Tupac’s Face.
Don is no stranger to the counterfeit culture. Counterfeiting is a global fashion trend that has flooded the International fashion streets for some time now. We’ve seen brands like Balenciaga recreate the Bernie Sanders campaign logo. Moreover, designers like Virgil have risen to fame through their renditions and recreations of popular brands.
Don Design has taken the same approach to his clothing. However, he brings it back home. We’ve all seen the popular ‘Sandton’ and ‘Bryanston’ hoodies around town. Hence, we are excited to see what Don has in store for us this time. The Beam Group designer is gearing up for a pop-up launch for his latest collection.
It is quite interesting to see the take that Don has towards counterfeit fashion. There has been a lot of misunderstanding amongst the SA fashion connoisseurs. With many people accusing him of not being original. This is, however, not the case. We are certain that this collection will set the record straight. Although we have not seen much from it we are sure to see more from Don at the Pop-Up.
Stay tuned to @Don_Design to get more information on this latest drop and how to get your hands on it. We will be there to cover it all as it happens.
