Converse Launches Its Work From Home Campaign Titled The “Unity Campaign”

In light of the Pandemic, the iconic utility footwear brand Converse launches its “Unity Campaign” in South Africa. This campaign is aimed at keeping creators actively creating in the comfort of their homes. This campaign simultaneously aims to highlight the importance of social distancing in order to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic and flatten the curve.

With South Africa reporting at least 16 433 cases nationally, it is important for everyone to practice social distancing and remain in their homes until it’s safe to be outside again.

This campaign features 5 key South African creators, namely, Fhatuwani Mukheli, Sindiso Nyoni, Nardstar, David Tshabalala, and Falko Fantastic who have all been tasked to depict South Africa’s experience of the COVID-19 pandemic but still send a message of hope to the audience. These illustrators/designers will have the opportunity to put their designs and illustrations on 75 custom Converse sneakers per illustrator, which will be sold online. Furthermore, Converse states that,

“In the efforts of giving back to an establishment that has been affected by the pandemic, Converse has selected the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund in which all proceeds will go to following the sale of all sneakers.”
