We just had to give a big shout to AKA for doing great things for the hip hop scene as well as for himself and his brand. AKA impressed Taraji P Henson and Terence Howard, the stars of the mega show Empire, when he performed and facilitated the question and answer session at yesterday’s press conference. The international stars are in the country to promote the third season of the Empire that airs on FOX, channel 125.
He put up a video of himself and the stars talking about a possibility of him featuring in the next season of Empire. In the video, the rapper asks them if they caught his performance. They respond positively and even allude to speaking to Lee Daniels, the creator of Empire, about writing him a part in the show. AKA also mentions how much African music and fashion are getting reborn and reaching the rest of the world. That’s the truth right there!
Lucious & Cookie enjoyed the show. Speak to the man Lee Daniels about giving me a role! Ⓜ️ The design!!! #Beams 🌐 pic.twitter.com/aocUvoI1oo

The rapper even posted snaps of him chatting to Multichoice CEO Mark Reyner and FOX executive Adam Theiler. Could this be an international TV breakthrough for our very own SuperMega? Only time will tell but for now, we are thrilled at the attention that South African artists are getting. It’s inspiring!
But as we all know, there is no filter on AKA as he tweeted about how the media never covered the event from his angle.
Have you noticed that my whole Empire, Taraji vibe got zero news coverage. Good news doesn’t sell. Especially Good news for AKA 🙃

He also tweeted that if he were to tweet about something scandalous then we would be all up in it. But to be honest, we are quite thrilled for him. Due to maintenance issues on our website, we couldn’t upload the article in time. Anyway, he ended off by saying that he doesn’t need any help with publishing his own news in the tweet below.
Im my own news platform. I even have my own photographer, videographer & “readership”(followers) … I am the content AND the editor Ⓜ️
