The urban street culture hubs of Fiction in Long Street Cape Town on the 25th of May 2013, Boulevard in Florida Road Durban on the 1st of June 2013 and in Braamfontein Johannesburg on the 8th of June, will be transformed into distinctive glacial settings, as residents of each city will bring to life this innovative live music experience. With a choice of 25 of Mzansi’s hottest emcees, DJ’s and dance artists, including the likes of BIG NUZ, Khuli Chana, AKA, Driemanskap, Jack Parow, F.Eu, Roger Goode, Dj Tira, DJ Ready D, Kwesta, Lulo Café, Zakes Bantwini, Pascal & Pearce and Teargas to name a few; each city will get a chance to rep their hood by voting for the artists they want to see on stage for the one- night- only music experience. “These three Capitals of Cold will offer a lifestyle festival during the day where party goers can enjoy food, clothing stores, break dancers, bikers, skaters, graffiti artists – all with their friends in their city’s trendiest hang outs. Yet at night the venues will be transformed into an ‘ICE’ music experience,” commented Andrea Quaye, General Manager for Castle Lite.
“Unlock Extra Cold Live is an opportunity for our consumers to create their own concert, by selecting the artists they want to see. We have secured artists from all genres who are at the top of their game musically, who will battle each other for a place at this once-off performance in our 3 chosen regions.
