This comedy horror from Tim Burton stars Johnny Depp as an olden day vampire who is suddenly released into the modern world comes face to face with the ruined remains of his estate and the dysfunctional nature of his descendants and their families. Transformed into a vampire and buried alive 200 years ago after he spurned beautiful but vengeful Witch Angelique (Eva Green), playboy landowner Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) is suddenly unearthed when his tomb is inadvertently opened in the 1970’s.
Returning to his former manor in Collinsport, USA, Barnabas is horrified to find his ancestral home in a wretched state of decay, and his descendants plagued by macabre secrets. Realising that restoring the family business is a way of affording the costly rebuild of the family home and bringing them all together once again, Barnabas sets about reconstructing his empire. However, he could do without the distraction of the still very much alive and beautiful as ever Angelique who suddenly re-appears on the scene.
An imprisoned vampire, Barnabas Collins, is set free and returns to his ancestral home, where his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection.
