In February 2014 Ditiro Rantloane embarked on a journey that will potentially alter the course of his life. This journey will challenge him in ways that will put him out of his comfort zone. He decided to enter the Mr South Africa 2014. He made it through the first round where there were about 70 contestants who did not make the cut. The first challenge for Mr South Africa was to host a fund-raiser event and raise a minimum of R10 000 in just 8 weeks. A detailed report which entailed the plan, the execution as well as a financial report was also expected with the funds raised.
Ditiro is currently one of the top 12 candidates, “It’s not that we didn’t expect it but it’s great that from the Top 25 he has made the cut. I guess now it all depends on his six packs and how he handles stage fright in answering questions on the grand finale which will be held on the 28th of January. However knowing him I have no doubt that he will handle the question as he has a commendable amount of general knowledge and his command for the language complemented by his confidence should definitely make him a top contender. We wish him all the best on the frontier of the journey and we will be following him with great pride and he will have our unshaken support” says his manager Zolani Zeeba Masombuka.
