We all feel a connection with music and for some it makes its way into the very core of their soul. This was the case for 20-year old DJ, Adrien Conradie, better known as Adie. His journey with music began at a young age but it wasn’t until 2011 that he realised House Music was his calling. Since starting his career as a DJ, he has transcended through different genres and moulded his brand around a deeper sound that many crowds have come to know and love. Over the past two years Adie has managed to break through into the local club scene in Johannesburg and established a solid foundation for his brand. In his short time on the scene he has been fortunate enough to rub shoulders with some of the icons that inspired him to do what he does, including the likes of F.eU (Fresh & Euphonik), Roger Goode, DJ Kent, Lady Lea, Household Funk as well as International artists Harrison Crump (USA), Nick Holder (Canada), Xpression (Netherlands) and Paul Mendez (UK), to name a few.
As well as being able to share a line-up with his idols, Adie has showcased his style of music and creativity in many venues across Gauteng as well as the rest of the country, including Nicci Beach (Boksburg), Vacca Matta Montecasino, SUGAR Sundays, LIV (Bedfordview), SET (Rosebank), ICON (Sandton) and the list goes on. 2013 was by far Adie’s biggest year claiming a monthly slot on Euphonik’s UltiMix Weekend Edition, featuring on the line-‐up of 2 of South Africa’s Biggest Dance Festivals Fun In The Sun (KZN) and H2O (Wild Waters Boksburg), as well as releasing a compilation with F! Records that topped the iTunes Charts on its day of release. 2013 also saw Adie release his first EP through F! Records (a division of Soul Candi Records).
As a talented DJ and ever-‐developing producer the future looks bright for Adie. Pursuing his passion for music has become a way of life for him, and the constant support and motivation he receives from his fans, inspires hi to push forward toward the exciting times that are to come over the course of 2014.
