Doek On Fleek, the newest lifestyle market that is launching in Soweto,today, 02 July and promises to be “on fleek”! The movement, which is “inspired by women for women”, launched on 04 June and had over 600 people coming from across the country to witness the dawning of this new era!
Tomorrow’s market is set to have 50 stalls with visitors being treated to various products ranging from arts and crafts, books, African fabrics, hair products and a lot more.
Beside artefacts, visitors can also expect good food and music with live acts and a DJ line up in store!
The Doek on Fleek concept, which is under the leadership of a black female-owned business, LT & Company, is already branching out into other cities and towns with Welkom (Free State), Durban and Polokwane on the agenda.
The event, which runs from 10AM to 6PM, takes place at Makubenjalo Restaurant and Pub, located at 35 Diepenaar Street in Zone 2, Soweto! Ladies are encouraged to come through wearing their doeks or headwraps, as the theme is “Doek it like your mama taught you”!
