We haven’t done this in a young minute and we decided to give you the link to the multi-talented musician and Afrotainment mentee, MinziSean.
Born in Soweto, a township in Johannesburg, Mandla Makhubela is best known as MinziSean to his supporters and peers. He is a not only a diverse new age African musician but has also managed to build a solid reputation through his fearless characteristics.
His music comprises of very apparent and audible unique and melodic African feel to it. That is his edge and this gives him a different standpoint as an artist. Plus he also writes his own music and is in control of his creative work. The 21-year-old is a record label CEO and co-owner of Vth Legacy alongside with partner, Vangile Mpumlwana. and the intention of it is to create a solid digital empire that will home Africa’s futures musicians.
He got into the music business at the tender age of 17 years and since his entry into the music business he has being guided and mentored by Afrotainment founder, Mthokozi Khathi aka DJ Tira and Gugu Khathi. In 2016 Mandla won music based competition called Campus Reunion which gave him the opportunity to go on a radio tour in Johannesburg and perform at the main event alongside Shane Eagle.
Mandla’s patriotism influenced his love for South African sounds and with an interest in African cultures which is why he features up and coming Nigerian artist, Jilex Anderson on his latest joint. Titled Ngolova, this joint has heavy Kwaito influences and an overall smooth and mellow approach to it. MinziSean such a refreshing approach to music and we love this easy and laid back music he makes; plus it’s for the ladies and we are all about that.
