Multi-talented artist Loui Lvndn recently released his highly anticipated single Kill Her Killer from his debut album Your Princess Is In Another Castle.
The single had an exclusive first play on 23 June on 5fm and this is what they had to say – “Did you hear Roger Goode spin the exclusive new Loui Lvndn banger this morning on 5FM? We foresee big things in store for this guy”.
Loui Lvndn, (pronounced “London”) is a singer, songwriter, rapper, performing artist, visual artist and writer. He has since evolved into the genre defying and genre unifying art/fun house he is today.
Loui (real name Lutho Mtyamde) comes from a diverse musical palette, influenced by an array of genres from the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Queens of the Stone Age, Highly Suspect, The Mars Volta, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Michael Jackson and Simphiwe Dana to name a few. A fan of Hip Hop music in general, Loui’s inspirations reveal the broad understanding of music as a whole and that which he creates.
As a then independent artist published by Sony/ATV, Loui Lvndn self-released his debut EP Hikari (“the light”) in mid-2016. It’s described as “a kaleidoscope of bespoke musical brilliance” and it features the likes of South African raised and Europe breakout artists Petite Noir and Spoek Mathambo. The project was subsequently picked up by Gallo Record Company, along with an artist deal for Lvndn, received esteemed reviews from many platforms including the international magazine Afropunk, Between10and5, The Citizen, Superbalist, They Know, Don’t Party, Texxandthecity and many more.
His latest release, Kill Her Killer has a weird disco, funk and pop rock feel about the sound. He channels Michael Jackson in Thriller and he kills it with his hoarse vocals and the chant-like chorus. Lvndn is fresh on this and brings about a global appeal to his music. This is some futuristic music, don’t get left behind!
Kill Her Killer is produced and mixed by Jumping Back Slash, engineered by Alex Coetzee and mastered by Loui Fourie at Sine Sound and Mastering. Additional Instrumentation was done by Tyrone Parsons. Composed and Written by Loui Lvndn.
