Fya Philly is a rapper and artist who proudly reps Pretoria the Capital City, where some of the country’s most talented artists were born and bred. He was raised in Centurion and after high school moved to London, England, harnessing a diverse Hip Hop culture. He then came back to South Africa to show case his unique taste of international class sound and production.
Fya Philly is part of a rap group from Johannesburg called Hustle Plus Music. He makes what he calls new age music which is a combination of Trap, Electro and Hip Hop infused with authentic African sounds. Fya’s style of Hip Hop is one that rocks the most epic parties and on a smoother side of the coin, also puts babies to sleep.
Fya Philly brings the heat this time round, with his claim to fame, winning the #OMGWAP Rap competition, sponsored by Old Mutual, that featured thousands of rappers across the country, and winning it entailed a studio session. This allowed his latest single, No Love Song produced by multiple award winning team of producers, Ganja Beatz to flourish. In anticipation of his up and coming EP titled Turn Up Generation, this street banger has the latest styles in cutting edge production and trap vocals that put the streets on lock.
He says about No Love Song: : “This song comes as my biggest release to date as I worked with the biggest producers in Africa, GanjaBeatz and the story to recording this song and shooting a vid is sure worth a read as its nothing short of a miracle.”
