The past year saw a significant increase in music releases within SA Hip Hop, with many rappers delivering powerful music projects. Emtee, is yet to release his highly anticipated album, DIY 3.
As the new year brings high expectations for SA rappers, Emtee has made a bold declaration, proclaiming that in 2024, he no longer considers himself a local or underground artist.
“In 2024 I’m no longer a local artist. I was never an underground artist either,” wrote Emtee.

Despite DIY 3 still pending release, the spotlight is on Emtee to deliver the long-promised album to his fans. While the rapper is taking his time with the awaited release, Emtee Records has been actively working behind the scenes.
A few days ago, Emtee shared a cover of the DIY3 album, which includes a photo of himself, two boys and a little girl.
