Ibhayi Live Experience presents Zahara and Samthing Soweto Live
1 June - 2 June
Envuko Met; the event organisers that have emerged as one of the most prominent in Nelson Mandela Bay, announced the official lineup for the next instalment of Ibhayi Live Experience concerts. The event is set to take place on the 1st of June 2019 at The Boardwalk International Convention Centre headlined by Zahara and Samthing Soweto, featuring local marvel Thembi Mona as the supporting act.
Fresh off the heels of the first successful event featuring the incomparable Amanda Black on the 14th April, the series provided a stage for local artists such as Joliza who used the platform to wow the audiences and win their hearts with an electric performance. Black herself was not any short of marvel and gratitude, she opened the show with a deep-felt appreciation to the event organizers and her fans “Six years ago I was on this very stage for an audition, today I stand here and I’m headlining my own show” said the emotional Black.
Encouraged by these words and pride of the Eastern Cape artists, Envuko Met started with the second instalment of Ibhayi Live Experience with Zahara. The Loliwe hitmaker, who is one of the best-selling artists in South Africa, is coming back more determined than ever before! With her adoring fans showing nothing but excitement for her arrival since the event was announced.
A huge surprise feature and definitely a showcase to look forward to is the renowned Samthing Soweto. Samthing is currently featured on the SAMA nominated album, Music is King, by Black Coffee. He is further well known for his exceptional songwriting skills that made him one of the founders of popular group The Soil, before turning to his solo career. Fans can look forward to their favourite songs such as Akanamali and Abantu.
”We remain committed to making Ibhayi Live Experience a platform to nurture our local Eastern Cape upcoming artists and showcase our stars to their people with pride. What many don’t know is that Thembi and Zahara are home girls from Phumlani in East London. They are still miles apart in their music careers but on the 1st of June, they will be on the same stage and shining together. Samthing is the people’s choice and a die-hard fan of the local Maxhosa clothing brand; we are happy that he could avail himself for our people.” said Michael Brew, Managing Director of Envuko MET.
The event starts at 19:00 PM. Tickets range from R200 – R400 and are available through Computicket.
The Boardwalk ICC comes with great hospitality including cash bars during the show, safe parking and security.
