SKIP took their popular fashion property ‘SKIP and DESTINY Fashion Exchange’ out to Pretoria last week and what a night it was. Readers got the opportunity to network while swopping their fashion items. The 120 ladies who attended the event at the super romantic Royal Elephant Hotel in Centurion had a fruitful evening, exchanging their high-fashion designer wear. Super stylish shoe brand owner Eda Rose and YFM’s Mantsoe Tsatsi both attended the intimate affair and even got a chance to mingle with DESTINY readers. Background music was provided by uber sexy all-girl group The Muses while guests were treated to champagne and canapés while everyone else shopped up a storm. Style icon Unathi Msgengana opened up to the room full of guests talking about her very personal experiences in life, followed by giving the guests very personal and sound advice. She brought out laughs and tears alike to an emotional audience.
After that it was all about ‘FASHIONABLE SWOPPING’. Ladies networked the night away, with another successful evening in the bag. Almost all the mostly high-priced high-fashioned items on the rails were exchanged and swopped, outshining the Jozi ladies by way.
The Skip Fashion Exchange in Centurion was the second of a 6-part series which was launched in Sandton last month. The event returns to Sandton at the upmarket and trendy Maslow on the 23rd August, where the Jozi ladies will need to step up their fashion game. Don’t miss the opportunity to mingle and swop your previously loved clothes. Tickets cost R180 and as part of entrance guests have to bring a minimum of three or more high-fashion items to swap.
