Converse introduces Chuck Taylor All Star Leather with Fifi Cooper
In celebration of the launch of the iconic sneaker, Converse shot a local campaign with a host of influentials that speak to the essence and adaptable style of the Chuck Taylor All Star Leather. Lethabo Acid, Fifi Cooper, Alexandros Moldovanos, Shakeel Toefy and the Siebritz Twins all make an appearance, embodying the classic cool one would expect from Leather Chucks.
Created in 1917, the Converse All Star has been evolving for a hundred years while always remaining a classic. The All Star emblem, vulcanized rubber sole and canvas upper are known all over the world for their timeless simplicity. Now add leather – this elevated take on the Classic Chuck Taylor gives a nod to the legacy of the Chuck.
Don Design A Teases New Collection Drop
Check out the new drip by MondayIIMonday
Don Design teases the first part of his new collection. NoMoozlie was spotted in the Big Apple rocking these new threads from Don. The latest collection features a reinterpretation of the Celine brand, overlaid on Tupac’s Face.
Don is no stranger to the counterfeit culture. Counterfeiting is a global fashion trend that has flooded the International fashion streets for some time now. We’ve seen brands like Balenciaga recreate the Bernie Sanders campaign logo. Moreover, designers like Virgil have risen to fame through their renditions and recreations of popular brands.
Don Design has taken the same approach to his clothing. However, he brings it back home. We’ve all seen the popular ‘Sandton’ and ‘Bryanston’ hoodies around town. Hence, we are excited to see what Don has in store for us this time. The Beam Group designer is gearing up for a pop-up launch for his latest collection.
It is quite interesting to see the take that Don has towards counterfeit fashion. There has been a lot of misunderstanding amongst the SA fashion connoisseurs. With many people accusing him of not being original. This is, however, not the case. We are certain that this collection will set the record straight. Although we have not seen much from it we are sure to see more from Don at the Pop-Up.
Stay tuned to @Don_Design to get more information on this latest drop and how to get your hands on it. We will be there to cover it all as it happens.
