Fifi Cooper takes it back to basics in new music video for Freedom
If you are abreast with news stories in the country, then you will realise that Fifi Cooper has been through a lot this past year and a half. The rapper who was formerly signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment was embroiled in a legal fight against the record label.
She sought out the help from political party, EFF, and they obliged and managed to free her from the contract and get her career back on track. To celebrate that freedom, Fifi Cooper dropped the visuals for a track aptly titled Freedom.
Freedom features Leon Lee, Tru Crack and SoildT and it is a declaration from the rapper that her freedom is something that she doesn’t take for granted. Shot on location in Mafikeng, the music video showcases everyday people sending out messages of support against all injustices.
The video, produced by Ofentse Mwase Films, does a splendid job of simply capturing the message of the song. They does not over complicating it with unnecessary narratives. The message is one that everybody who yearns for any type of freedom will appreciate and relate to.
Fifi Cooper is set to drop her 21 track album next month in honour of woman’s month and Mama Winnie Mandela. Will you be copping it?
