Actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa is waving the South African flag high on the global stage after winning the best designer collection in the newcomer category at Fashion Community Week in San Francisco, California.

Mlotshwa, the founder of Essie Apparel, made her South African Fashion Week debut last year and as a result, she got invited by fashion community to compete among new and emerging designers from across the world.

She showcased the Essie apparel 2019 A/W19, a collection that won her the award.

A video has emerged showing three prisoners drinking wine, playing music and browsing social media on their cellphones inside their Mdantsane prison cell.

The department of correctional services has launched an investigation into how the three smuggled the contraband into the cell.

With the worldwide increase in confirmed cases of coronavirus, music producer and house DJ Prince Kaybee had no choice but to cancel a gig in Turkey this week.

On social media, Kaybee said: “(The) show is cancelled.” Kaybee’s decision comes after the virus was declared a pandemic on Wednesday by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
