Communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has apologized for breaking the lockdown rules by visiting ANC NEC member Mduduzi Manana for lunch.

She said: “I regret the incident and I am deeply sorry for my actions. I hope that the President and South Africans will find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

President Cyril Ramaphosa has placed her on two-months special leave after she violated the lockdown rules which were put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus by visiting a friend for lunch.

A photo of her lunching with ANC NEC member Mduduzi Manana caused an uproar on social media with people questioning whether rules only applied to a few.

Radio personality Thando Thabethe has taken to social media to reveal the reason why she resigned from 5FM.

The star announced her resignation last month, but at the time gave no reasons for her departure.

She took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to reveal information of her exit, detailing alleged meetings she had with the station’s management.

We miss Thabooty and wish her well in her future endeavors.

Laughter is the best medicine. At least for boredom, virus-news fatigue and antsy-pants from being cooped up at home for too long.
