The Generations Actors Guild (GAG) has filed papers with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) for re-instatement . This comes after the principal cast of Generations – a company of 16 actors, were dismissed following their withdrawal of services on the 11th of August 2014. The cast comments “Throughout this process, we have engaged with our former employer and been clear about the fact that we are open to negotiation and discussions – but were resolute in our commitment to transforming unfair industry practices. That resolve remains unshaken, and in light of our employers stance, we have now filed the issue with the CCMA. We are grateful to COSATU, CWUSA, fellow actors and our fans for their unflinching support in this troubling time. ”
