Calling all fashion lovers and cotton eaters (as Riky Rick would call them). This weekend, the second installment of the Ekurhuleni Fashion Festival takes place in Jo’burg East where established, along with up-and-coming designers will showcase their talents and latest designs to an array of audiences.
The premium fashion event that takes place on Saturday 22 October at the Germiston City Hall and will showcase 12 fashion designers and three jewelery designers on the ramp. The festival, which was birthed in 2015, is a platform for fashion brands and designers in and around the Ekurhuleni region to showcase their skills and talents.
The one day runway and fashion exhibition event aims not only to encourage entrepreneurship, but to also promote arts and culture and help bridge the gap between designers and buyers. Along with the runway showcases, a further 15 designers will exhibit at the event’s “buyers lounge”, which will be freely open to the public.
Guests can expect to see designs from fashion designers such as Indwang Couture, Nicostyle and KinRoto Creations Clothing, among others. The seasonal showcase promises to be a spectacle. The show starts at 18:00 and general admission is R100. Get your tickets from Computicket.
