Being young is not something we get to experience for the rest of our lives, so as important as it is for us to learn from the experiences of our youth, it is also vital for us to take the backseat and celebrate it sometimes,” said Dennis Mangope, the spokesperson for the West Rand District Municipality.
“We have a variety of popular, award-winning and chart-topping artists performing at this event and we are very honoured to host them in the West Rand. These are people that the youth look up to and that some aspire to be like. Sometimes it is very inspiring and motivational to see someone one looks up to doing something they love and are good at. It will be a very positive experience for some of the youth present at the bash,” continued Mangope.
The Go West! Festival is a lifestyle extravaganza, organised by the West Rand District Municipality, which celebrates arts, culture and heritage during and around Heritage Week in September, It hosts a series of events and festivities throughout the four municipalities in the West Rand District.
