Hail storm ruins lekka jol

They say in life things do not always go according to plan and that’s exactly what happened this past Saturday on the 20^th of September at the Wanderers park in Sandton. I attended the first ever Major League gardens social which is a day/night event and I really had a great time till mother nature decided to turn things around with a massive hail storm that ruined everything. The event was organized by the Major League deejays which are twin brother deejay band. Bandile and Banele Mbere one brother is a deejay and the other is a percussionist. They focus on dance and urban music. The party started at about 12 PM and for the first couple of hours it was a lekka turn up as Khuli Chana, DJ Speedsta, Chad Da Don, DJ Warras and DJ Dimplez rocked the crowd I even heard someone saying that the event reminded him of Pop Bottles before it went commercial back in the days when it was starting out. Black Motion was the last act to perform before it started raining when they were performing their super hot spiritual set, someone joked that in the African culture ancestors make it rain when they are happy so Black Motion is to blame coz their set was just on fire and spiritual. The other artists that were supposed to perform but didn’t coz of the bad weather includes Black Coffee, Shimza, Capital, Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, KO, Okmalumkoolkat, Ifani, Siya Shezi and my personal favourite Boyz N Buckz. Man what a super hot line up like that could have been a turn up of note anyways the major league were obviously disappointed that the gig never got to fulfill its full potential but they did promise us that they will come back bigger and better next year.
