Everybody in Joburg who wannet to have fun this past weekend was probably hanging out with a whole lot of Joburgers at the The Hansa Festival of Legends which took place on Saturday the 23rd of March. We spent a whole day enjoying over 30 of the best acts South Africa has to offer in the heart of Johannesburg – Mary Fitzgerald square in Newtown. This is what went down:
Anele Mdoda and Bob Mabena were the evening’s MCs who shared jokes with artists like Sipho Hotstix Mabuse on stage
Bongani Fassie was overwhelmed after performing with the hologram of his late mother Brenda Fassie
Boom Shaka re-united on stage after many years
DJ Kent played a decent set

Kelly Khumalo during a Lebo Mathosa tribute, she kept on talking about her myster “tape”

Proffessor and the Kalawa Jazmee family rocked the kwaito tent
Living legend Sipho Hotstix Mabuse blessed the crowd with classics such as “burn out”
Skwatta Kamp performing at the hip hop tent wow these guys still have it, and they seemed to get along very well despite the rumours that the crew have bitterly broken up
