J-Smash reunites with Emtee on a brand-new song titled ‘Friends’, this also sees Amanda Black and Emtee joining up again as their last collab was 6 years ago.
‘Friends’ was announced on the 14th of August with an eye-popping screenshot which J-Smash utilized to create conversation on socials only for him to follow up the image with a video where he is in Studio calling Amanda then the next video saw him getting a call from Emtee.
This of course built excitement for the single as it is a collaboration that many never saw coming.
The song details a situation that many would not want to be in, referring to being placed in the Friend Zone after trying to create a relationship.
Amanda Black simply pleads to play it safe as she can seemingly predict a heartbreak from a mile away and at times love will hurt, it’s how you react that shapes the direction you take within the pool of relationships.
‘Friends’ is well led by an ear-catching hook that is melodically laid out by Amanda Black through a trap style beat whilst retaining quality storytelling, followed by a verse by Emtee which will leave you in your thoughts.
You are destined for a journey and a half as the single is released ahead of J Smash’s debut album
