In this fantasy adventure that is based on the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk, the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened when a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom to rescue a kidnapped princess. Local farm boy Jack (Nicholas Hoult) inadvertently opens a mysterious portal into the world of giants which has the unwanted effect of also letting giants into the human realm. And when one band of towering titans who have a beef against mankind cross over to this world and snatch a beautiful princess, Jack must summon every ounce of bravery to rescue her and drive out the invaders.
