This year 125 cities on 6 continents hosted a 48 Hour Film Project weekend, 53,000 people directly participated on a team as directors, producers, actors, cinematographers, sound, P.A.s and other cast and crew. Teams had an average of 13 members and made over 3,800 films. The films will be screened at approximately 500 screenings in local theaters and other venues and will be attended by approximately 100,000 people. The 12 top films of 2012 will screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. You can catch one of the film’s which will be shown in South Africa this week which features Keenan Arrison (Actor on ‘The Wild) who was one of the leads, titled ‘SOMEBODY’ the 48 Hour film was written and produced by Mac Leshabane. The Public screening of the film takes place this week on Thursday, 20th September at 20h00 at the CineCentre in the Killarney mall in Joburg.
