It was a monumental moment for Juventus this past Wednesday night as the team walked out onto the field to finally reveal the much anticipated Palace x Adidas football collaboration.
Juventus players, including the well known, Cristiano Ronaldo surprised fans in Wednesday night’s match against Genoa as the team was seen sporting the training kits and jerseys branded by the London-based skate label, Palace, Adidas as well as Jeep. The kit, which is predominately white boasts vibrant neon green embellishments along with touches of neon orange. The design is also made to include the team’s signature black and white stripes which were incorporated in a mesmerizing gradient. The kit consists of mainly tracksuits, t-shirts, training uniform, scarves, hats and club jerseys which feature logo placements.
“It’s a great fusion between soccer and fashion to further widen our borders. We wanted to make a surprise by appearing on the soccer field with a jersey that stems from the collaboration with an iconic and world-renowned skater brand.”
Juventus Chief Revenue Officer, Giorgio Ricci
Although this collaboration marks the first time Palace is partnering up with a football team, this isn’t the first time the brand has worked with Adidas. Last year, Palace linked up with Adidas to create an amazing court-ready lineup collection tilted Adidas Tennis by Palace Collection. To add to the long list of brands that Palace has collaborated with includes Polo Ralph Lauren and Umbro. Such partnerships have allowed the skater brand to appeal to wider audiences such as fashion enthusiasts and sports fans thus growing the brand to greater levels.
Juventus went on to play the match against Genoa of which they won 2 – 1 resulting in an all-round successful night for the Italian football club.
