Multiple award winning artist, Khuli Chana, has received a Best International Act nomination with the upcoming Black Canadian Awards taking place on 1 March 2014 at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Theater in Toronto. “I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life. The Top 6 nominees in each category for the Black Canadian Awards will compete for the title on 1 March 2014. The Black Canadian Awards is a non-profit initiative of the Diversity Advancement Network. Part of the proceeds will be added to their Youth and Talent scholarship program. This nomination further solidifies Khuli Chana as one of South Africa’s top artists and one of Africa’s most high profile Hip Hop stars. Khuli Chana is the first Hip Hop artist in South Africa’s history to win the prestigious South African Music Award (SAMA) in the category “Album of the Year”. Khuli Chana achieved this feat at the 2013 SAMAs also winning “Best Rap Album” and “Male Artist of the Year”. 2013 also saw Khuli Chana win the “Best Collaboration” Award at the Metro FM Awards, as well as “Album of the Year” and “Best Male Artist” at the SA Hip Hop Awards.
Khuli Chana is not only a front runner with regards to being a recording and performing artist, but in late 2013 he launched a Rocka #ChanaPower high fidelity headphone set which is proving to be a quite a winner amongst his fans.
