I recently attended the Brickfields Music festival at the inner-city venue Carfax and was introduced to a new local rock band which goes by the name of “Kite Rider”. The band consist of Jon Savage (from Cassette), Friso Woudstra (from Cassette) and the legendary bass player, Tebza Sedumedi (HHP) and Tino Damnbaneunga (HHP). The band started at the end of the 2011 and the first single is called “Split an Atom”. Out of all the acts that performed that performed at the Festival there are the guys that I enjoyed the most, I have to say Jon Savage has to be one of those very talented and underrated artists that the country has to offer, he has an amazing voice and knows how to play the guitar very well too. I was shocked to find out that Tebza Sedumedi could sing, wow she actually has a sweet mesmerizing voice, The band strive to make their shows a place to let loose and go a little mental and so far they are doing a pretty damn good job.
